This is a Pioneer RT 707 (7 inch) reel to reel tape deck that plays and records. I grabbed a box full of tapes and this deck from the curb in G's hood this afternoon, sorry you're rich man.  Powers and runs the tape. Looking forward to hooking it up to the stereo. Excellent audio apparently. Thank you internet-less people. It looks so fucking awesome I might just keep it.  Lou Reed New York is one of the newest tapes.

Hooked it up, it totally plays great. Cleaned the heads and rollers with a handful of q tips and alcohol. Pretty fucking dirty, obviously sitting on a shelf for a while. Sounded really good for tape. It's definitely cool to watch it run. I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep it.

Sold on Craig's in a heartbeat. Lots of interest even with describing the need for extensive cleaning, minor defects and pitted heads. Buck fifty. Maybe should have kept the fun fucking cool looking thing but I know I would never use it for it's intended purpose, and wanted to share some wealth to teach the pickup-passenger kids the value of stopping the car and grabbing some shit.
