Success! First fat bike bright light night ride tonight. First winter light ride for years. Excellent. Riding alleys like wide slides. Riding snowbanks like rolling bumps. Riding plowed hills like ridgeline surfing.
The bike is easy, figuring out clothing is hard. Thirty degrees tonight is practically casual compared to zero last weekend. Wore my rain jacket and rain gloves - perfect with pit-zips. Long sleeve wool jersey. XC-Ski pants. Insulated light hiking boots. Light winter headband. Light winter hat. Helmet. Heath's excellent and ready to bike-mount see-where-you're-going $30 light.
As I cruised further down my alley I spied a cardboard box on top of a City of Minneapolis garbage bin. A clear sign that something too good to be thrown away was up for grabs. The box contained a small set of crappy car speakers, their mounting surrounds, long cables, and the tap you see there on my garage bench. Score.
