Much stiffer, it does move when I jump on it as it should but doesn't nose-dive when I grab the brake and thrust forward. I think it's going to be a big improvement. The spring swap is totally doable with some tools and care, instructions are barely required. The fork doesn't need to be disassembled but should be removed to avoid a mess and measure the oil level correctly. Grip studs anyone?
Putting it all back after. The lower legs pivot separate from the upper legs on the seals and bushings of course, so there is no "straightness" requirement for the axle holes. The only task is setting the tube in the clamp(s) at the right height, which is easy if you notice the tube height in the clamp(s) before you remove them.
